DAY 2
Ankara has been the capital of Turkey since 1923, however its history dates back to the paleolithic age. You will spend the first morning, exploring Ankara’s ancient past in the Museum of Anatolian Civilisations. In the afternoon you will drive to Cappadocia’s seemingly desolate landscape.

DAY 3
The stone of the region was not just sculpted into fantastic shapes by the elements, but also by the habitants, as well. Explore the Cave Churches of Goreme and Zelve, witch were decorated by early christians with colourful frescoes, depicting beliefs from the 7th through 13th centuries. It is said that once there was a church for every day of the year.

DAY 4
When persecuted, the early Christians fled to Cappadocia and sought sanctuary underground, building complete cities where they could live for months at a time undetected. In th morning you will visit the underground city of Kaymakli or Derinkuyu which extends beneath the surface 8 stores. After lunch you will drive to Adana.

DAY 5
Begin your day with a visit to the cave where St Peter first celebrated the mass near the Antioch, a center of Christianity. Then you will visit the famous Mosaic Museum in Antioch Then come back to Tarsus St Paul’s birthplace.Cicero was a governor here in 51-50 BC and the romantic meeting between Cleopatra and Mark Anthony took place in Tarsus.Highlights will be St Paul’s well and Cleopatra’s gate.Drive back to Adana and overnight.

DAY 6
Departure for Lystra, declared to be a holy city for Christian pilgrims by the Vatican. In St Paul’s day it was the cosmopolitan capital of the Roman province of Cilicia.İt’s mentioned five times in the New Testament and visited by The Apostle Paul along with Barnaba.Paul met there a young disciple Timoty. Explore the city wall and baths.The site is near the Old City Konya; ancient capital of Seldjuk Turcs and centre of Whirling Dervishes.The founder of the order Philosopher and poet Mevlana buried there.A panoramic tour of the city and a short visit of the tomb Mevlana.Overnight in Konya.

DAY 7
A beautiful full day drive from the Anatolian Plateau to Antalya rising from the turquoise depths of the Mediterranean. Antalya is a lovely resort town, where St Paul was preached and Hadrian ruled.

DAY 8
full day to visit the numerous nearby greco-roman cities of antiquity. You will begin with Perge where you walk on the same mosaic walkway St Paul must have strolled to reach to the theatre where he preached. Visit Aspendos and sit in once of the best preserved theatres on the world. After that you will visit Side where an ancient bath has been transformed into a museum, housing the many classical remains of the region.

DAY 9
Today you will explore the recently excavated theatres of Laodikea. Then you will visit the Hierapolis, the home of St Philip the Evangelist, to explore the necropolis, churches and baths. Then you will drive north to enjoy the view of Pamukkale travertines of white limestone.

DAY 10
Today you will be able to visualize a trinity of Biblical references by visiting the cities of Sardis and Philadelphia, where St Paul preached. Then you will move on the Izmir (Smyrna) and visit the church of Polycarp.

DAY 11
“There are no Gods made with hands” are the words of St Paul. Sit in the theater in Ephesus where St Paul preached these words. Stroll along the marble roads pass the libray of Celcus and Hadrian’s Temple. Visit the nearby Basilica of St John and the last earthly home of the Virgin Mary.

DAY 12
Visit Thyatir (Akhisar) known for its numerous artists in the time of St Paul. Then, onto Pergamum, home of the famous physician Galen. Explore the remain of Asclepion, the theater built into the steep hillside and the red court of Pergamum.

DAY 13
Visit to Nicea, the Byzantine capital for 10 years following the occupation of Constantinople in the 13th century. Then you will move to the legendary Constantinople (Istanbul) and seat of the Holy Roman Empire.

DAY 14
After breakfast you will see two masterpieces of Byzantine art-the St Sophia and the Kariye Museum. Savor the beauty of colorful biblical mosaics and frescoes which adorn the insides of both museums which now live side-by-side with Islamic calligraphy. St Sophia was the first Christian cathedral built on the world. Then enjoy the more valuable treasures of the Topkapi Palace. Then visit the beautiful Iznik tiled interior of the Blue Mosque.

DAY 15
Farewell to Istanbul with a cruise on the Bosphorus. After lunch you can browse trough the colorfull labyrinth of tunnels of the Grand Bazaar and do your last shopping.

Transfer to the airport.Departure (there is a possibility to extend your trip in Istanbul and to add an Istanbul package).
